When they arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were. They came in a box with wheels, so it was easy to get them into the spare room. They unpacked and unfolded very easily and there were no permanent marks from being folded. They are very soft, as in not firm. It has a pillow top on one side and the other side isn't intended to be face up. I do think they are a little smaller than a normal king...not much.
